With all of the new yarns I've ordered & am waiting for I told the rep. from Southwest Trading Company that I was going to wait until September to order from her. Then I caved in.
- 50% Superwash Wool/ 25% SOYSILK brand fiber/ 22.5% Cotton/ 2.5% Chitin (made from shrimp and crab shells!)
- 8 sts = 1"
- needles: US 2 (2.75mm)
- 425m / 100g ball
- machine wash and dry!
That's right, shrimp & crab shells! And they are reportedly naturally antibacterial. If you are allergic to shellfish I think you're safe here, unless you plan on eating your socks...
The yarn is soft, absorbant, and comes in wonderful colors. It ships from Arizona so I should have it in about a week.
